Climate Emergency Action Event – 6th November

On Saturday 6th November at 11.00am, the communities in the UK blighted by airport expansion plans will be holding simultaneous short events to highlight the threats each face. With COP26 in full swing, the transport talks will be taking place on the 10th, it is crucial to show that airport expansions cannot happen if Co2 reduction targets are to be met.

We along with other local groups will be holding an event in Wigmore Valley Park, where better as this green lung will be destroyed by airport expansion.

If you have a gap in your calendar for that day, please try and attend, as with national and local media attention, a good turnout is essential.

If you’d like to bring your four legged friends, please do, we will be giving a small prize for the best fancy dress, on the themes of Canines against Climate Change or Pooches for Parks, or whatever takes your imagination.

We expect the photographs to take no more than 15-30 minutes, so please if you can, we would love to see you there.
